Vinco Glass

Tile Centre Limited has been providing a variety of glass products to Uganda’s construction industry for over 10 years. It has now expanded its operations to locally produce and manufacture tempered and laminated glass sheets, under the brand name, Vinco.

Tempered or toughened glass is the result of a heating and cooling treatment to make regular, float stronger. As such, when this glass breaks, instead of breaking into sharp shards, tempered glass breaks into small blunt pieces that are mostly harmless. Due to this reason, architects and builders use it worldwide as it is safer and has more structural integrity.

Laminated glass is manufactured by adhering two sheets of glass together under high pressure and temperature, using a PVB sheet (polyvinyl butyral). Laminated or safety glass is used in external shopfronts, windshields, curtain walls and windows. It can be used for security or bullet proofing purposes.

Through Vinco glass, we are able to manufacture, supply and install various types and thicknesses of glass. We supply not only to the building industry, but also to main customer market through our customizable shower cubicles, doors and windows.
